Acceleris parent company SENECA Partners took home two awards following Thursday night’s (20th October) Insider Dealmakers Awards hosted by Mark Durden-Smith at Manchester Central.
Following a double-award win for Acceleris Capital in 2015, Seneca Partners tasted success for the first time in the prestigious categories of Alternative Finance Provider of the Year and Deal of The Year (Sub £10m)
Richard Manley, managing Partner at Seneca Partners collecting the award for Alternative Finance Provider of the Year
Richard Manley, Managing Partner, said: “The awards reflect our offering to SMEs in both debt and equity finance. It is great to recognise the quality and hard work of the team.”
Both award wins were referenced as a recognition of the Foodpack Deal.
The Foodpack Deal
The deal highlighted as the reason for both award wins was the Foodpack Deal. The St Helens-based business is a food packing specialist that counts household names in the food and beverage sector, major retailers and contract manufacturers among its customers. The company had experienced difficulties, culminating in it entering administration.
The investment by Seneca was completed in a short-time scale, ensuring the business would continue to trade and secured the jobs of its 150 staff. The efficient implementation of the deal stood out to the judges who commended the creativity of the Seneca Team in implementing EIS equity alongside debt financing. This truly showed the strength of the Seneca Group and how the company can find creative solutions in-house.
Congratulations from all of us here at Acceleris Capital.
